Tracie Anzaldi began her career as an educator. After earning a Bachelors in Psychology from James Madison University and a Masters in Education from Vanderbilt University, she worked in college administration at The George Washington University.
When her oldest son was born (2001), she quit her “career” to pursue her passion – health and fitness. In January 2003 she earned her personal trainer certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (www.nasm.org) and has been working as a trainer since. Tracie founded Fitness Matters- “because it does”- in 2005 with a vision of providing individual, challenging, unique- yet fun- workouts to clients who have never quite found the right fitness formula to achieve their ultimate goals. And in November 2006 the Fitness Matters studio opened in Arlington. Lives have been changing ever since!
What’s different about Tracie? In short- empowerment. Tracie not only trains her clients. She teaches, counsels and empowers them to make powerful changes and achieve their goals. With Tracie, it’s not just about making muscles stronger. It is about changing your life through fitness and nutrition. Having that change be lasting. And being happy and balanced about your personal fitness way of life. Because that is what fitness is- a way of life. Not a short term destination.
The Fitness Matters philosophy is simple: “Fitness comes with dedication and discipline.”
Personally, Tracie is an avid runner who has competed- and placed in!- more 5ks, 10ks, 10 milers and marathons (including Boston, NYC and Marine Corps) than worth counting. It is this diversity of experience and passion for fitness that make Tracie a great trainer and nutrition
